I found this article browsing digg.com. I find it this very interesting.
------
U.N.'s Universal Declaration of Human Rights, written after WWII, has been virtually forgotten about, leaving human rights abuses still a rampant situation worldwide. Youth for Human Rights International, sponsored by Church of Scientology, is on a world tour - now in Italy - to bring the declaration and the subject of universal human rights back.

The Body Shop
I have recently discovered the products of the Body Shop. This store didn't orignally appeal to me, but I decided to try their Vitamin E daily moisturizer and Vitamic C face wash and am quite pleasantly surprised. I've always been intrigued by the "Body Butter" concept, but never really quite understood the idea of walking around with a tub of cream. I personally prefer the sqeezy-bottles of moisturizer. But, now that I've experienced the wonders of their facial products, I must say, I will be visiting the Body Shop, more often.

Katie Holmes Bringing Fashion to Pregnancy All The Way
A featured article on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes has beautiful pictures of Katie or as a couple. The one I like in particular is the second page article where Katie is photographed shopping for shoes in an adorable maternity dress. The rest of the article is quite intriguing as well. Particularly the last page with discusses the topic of raising children from a Scientology viewpoint, very good information, I might say.

Scientology: The New Religion and Its Fashion
In most religions, there is an understood and agreed-upon attire, a uniform you might say, that is expected of its clergy, ministers, priest, rabbi, monks, etc. And, with that arises in fashion, a dress that instills the concept of poise, stature, wisdom, respect and most profoundly, enlightenment. In the days of the birth of Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Budhism, etc, communications and trade were limited to finite geographical regions. Thus, one finds that the clerical attire tended t0 be reflective of the period's or cultural fashion sense. Hence, the long flowing robes, turbans, etc.
Scientology being a modern religion follows the same fashion sense of moderneity. With the miracles of modern technology, our society is no longer limited to one geographical region and thus fashion of the 21st Century tends to be a global fashion sense. The underlying thread of acceptable and respectable dress today is the now "classic" business suit and thus, we see many of the Scientology Churches, now located in every continent, being manned by staff dressed sharply in business suits. As fashion evolves, we see the enlightened and well-respected step up also in the evolution.

Scientology Volunteer Ministers In Action
The Scientology Volunteer Ministers have been a very interesting group to follow. They're level of community service is on the calibre of the Red Cross. Some time ago, a Category 5 Cyclone hit Australia devastating many parts of the coast line and the Volunteer Ministers went into action. There are many more stories of what the Volunteer Ministers have done... all in their trademark yellow T-shirts and jackets.

A little unsure...
I've been a little unsure the past few days on the latest fashion scene. The disinterest could be a sign of age or just a lack of creativity from the fashion industry. I just don't see anything worth talking about these days. Oh well, this winter, I just might just go with the same 'ol and maybe just update my lipstick. To me, this fashion scene is a bit... shall we say, gloomy?
